Gladiolus tenuis Bieb. (Iridaceae)
Шпажник тонкий (Касатиковые)
Краткое описание. Травянистый многолетник. Клубень шаровидный, мелкий, 1–1,5 см в диам. Стебли тонкие, прямые, до 70 см выс., двулистные; нижние листья чешуевидные в числе 1–2 короткие. Стеблевые листья в числе 2–3, нижний мечевидный шире остальных; верхние ланцетно–линейные, самый верхний короткий; все листья короче соцветий.
Соцветие — односторонний колос 5–8 см дл., густой 3–7-цветковый. Цветки пурпурно-фиолетовые; тесно сближенные, черепитчато налегающие друг на друга. Плод – обратно-яйцевидная коробочка. Семена овальные бескрылые.
Распространение. Восточноевропейско-югозападноазиатский вид. Произрастает в Восточной Европе, в Средней Азии, Малой Азии, на Кавказе.
Биология и экология. По пойменным лугам, кустарникам, опушкам лесов. Цветет в июле, плодоносит в августе. Размножается семенами и вегетативным путем (клубнелуковицами).

Часто этот вид рассматривается в составе G. imbricatus s.l..

Интересно, а что думал по этому поводу сам Friedrich August Marschall von Bieberstein? Судя по видовому эпитету, про семена он особо не заморачивался. А вот незабвенный Клоков свой Gladiolus apterus и описал, якобы по особым семенам. От него все и пошло-поехало.
Не кажется Вам, что размер и форма семян зависит от размера коробочки, а та, в свою очередь, от продолжительности вегетационного периода? К югу и юго-востоку посуше, цветки и коробочка поменьше, а семена совсем плоские? wink.gif

Есть очень простой способ: берете семена витебской популяции и высеваете в Витебске и в Москве. Далее сравниваете семена у тех растений, что вырастут. Но если разные -- это ни о чем не говорит.

Самый лучший способ -- по всему ареалу G. imbricatus s.l. аккуратно изучаете хотя бы популяций 20-30, сравнивая морфологию, ритмику развития, экологию. А если молекулярку аккуратно сделаете -- цены Вашей работе не будет! yes.gif

Если вас поставить рядом с масаем, рядом будут стоять два Homo sapiens, а вот в данном случае - ещё вопрос.
Я, собственно, вполне адекватно представляю условность объектов сравнения, хотя тот "imbricatus", который растёт в культуре, внешне мало отличается от фото, помещённого вами выше. Поэтому я и сказал ровно столько, сколько сказал, со всеми оговорками, которые можно было бы не выделять, и без далеко идущих выводов. Есть и ещё одна оговорка - можно ли считать тот шпажник из Витебской области черепитчатым. Если нет - мы плавно перейдём от проблемки tenius/imbricatus к проблемке imbricatus/palustris.
Ну а если бы уважаемые коллеги привозили из экспедиций не только гербарные листы, возможно, обрисованная задача и решилась бы быстрее.

Как я понимаю, для Homo молекулярка сделана, даже полный геном человека ("Покажите мне этого человека!" -- тоже не могу удержаться wink.gif ). А вот с Gladiolus -- не знаю.
